             Kimberley Information

  • Kimberly Alpine Village is one description of this long established former mining community.  The settlement is nestled on the edge of the Purcell Range of the Rocky Mountains on the side of North Star Mountain.   The community combined with the destination ski area of Kimberley Alpine Resort make this setting with it's proximity to the high alpine enviorment, most alluring.  (Elevation: 4500 ft.)  Grizzly Bears have been sited and are known to graze on and around the slopes of North Star mountain.  The Black Bear in season, the plentiful Deer and many other mountain creatures can be sited daily in this most wonderful mountain setting with it's abundant view opportunities.  The new expanded airport gives visitors from all over the world the opportunity for quick access to this untouched and quaint location only 20 minutes away.

             Kimberley Weather (Kimberley BC weather)

  • Kimberley is situated in South Eastern British Columbia in the Columbia Valley.  A magnificent and surprising reprieve from the exspanse of the Rocky Mountains.  It is also known as the Rocky Mountain Trench.  Kimberly is perched up against the western edge of the valley or on the eastern edge of the Purcell Mountain Range.  It is this location that provides the most pleasant weather in any season.

  • Kimberly activities are varied and numerous.  Kimberley enjoys an abundance of outdoor pursuits the two of the most popular are golf and skiing.  However there is much more, just some of which are rafting and fishing, horseback riding and climbing and hiking and biking of any level is within just minutes of your accommodations.  It may surprise some people to know however that most visitors just come to relax and enjoy the view.
